Get Involved
From our Volunteer Coordinator, Ellen Luce:
My fondest memories are of camping along the Locust Fork River with my grandparents, parents and brothers. We kids slept under rock ledges! Grandmother brought all the camping supplies and she'd cook the fresh fish for the whole gang. |
The Friends of the Locust Fork River is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization. We volunteers lead hikes, floats and canoe trips, present our annual Kid’s Day on the River, lead clean ups, staff booths at June Fling, Covered Bridge Festival and the County Fair, serve on the board of directors. With all we get done, there’s more we want to do. Come help us! Become a volunteer and we’ll contact you for a given volunteer opportunity. If you’re not available for that one, we’ll try you on the next go-round. Thank you for your willingness to help.
Which activities interest you? We’ll train you.
