Every month community friendly volunteers are meeting to clean-up 9 riverbanks along the Locust Fork River in Blount County.

Monthly on the second Saturday:

9 am Swann Covered Bridge - led by Sam Howell - 1590 Swann Bridge Rd, Cleveland, AL 35049

Directions: Access to the bridge from Hwy 79 is closed. Please get on Hwy 160, and when you get to Nectar, turn north on Joy Rd (also known as Cty Rd 37). Then turn right to Swann Bridge Road.

Monthly on the first Saturday:

King's Bend Scenic Overlook Park - led by Mari Brindle

Monthly or weekly on a day that is convenient for the leaders.

  • Mardis Mill Falls - led by Alden Brindle -  546 Mardis Mill Rd, Blountsville
  • Taylor Ford Rd - led by Kala Bathar   
  • Taylor Riverside Park - led by Maricarmen Contreras - Bridge on CO 26, Blountsville
  • Bridge on Painter Rd in Susan Moore- led by Maricarmen Contreras
  • Crooked Shoal Bridge - led by Sam Howell

Bring water, light gloves, a 5 gallon bucket, sturdy shoes, and a playful attitude.
A representative from FLFR will supply trash-pickers and bags.

Updates or last minute cancellations will be posted on FLFR's Facebook page the day before.
