Earth Day
2010
Nancy Jackson and Sharon Cook did a water chemistry station for the 4th graders at Hayden Elementary School as part of their Earth Day environmental education program. Daryl Bergquist led a demonstration of solar energy with an active photovoltaic display and solor cooker.
"The kids and teachers were attentive and many key concepts slipped through. It was great fun and I hope the other schools in Blount County adopt similar programs in the future. Thank you, Shelley Vail-Smith (Principal) - for being such an innovative and well-organized leader!" --Debra Gordon-Hellman, chair of the Friends of Locust Fork Education Committee
